Williams Trew adopts Delta Company 1-325 of the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army!

deltacoTheir activity is called,”Williams Trew LOVES Delta Company,” and donations may be dropped off January 23-29, during office hours. (Items will be shipped Feb. 1)

Williams Trew is ‘adopting’ the Delta Company 1-325 of the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army.
Williams Trew agents & staff will be collecting candy, cookies, snacks and handwritten notes of appreciation to send to the Company which was recently deployed.

City of Fort Worth PARD Operations Contract Management Division – Cobb Park Clean Up Day

Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo – Sergeant Greg Dotson

Compassionate Fort Worth is collecting items for Sergeant Greg Dotson, to be presented to him on Monday, January 30 at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.

SGT Greg Dotson gives new meaning to the adage “ARMY STRONG”.

SGT Greg Dotson served as an Army combat medic for 10 years and is credited with saving the lives of more than 160 soldiers during 2 combat tours in Iraq. A native of Red Bud, Illinois, SGT Dotson enlisted in the Army at the age of seventeen. Greg was a line medic with the 1st CAV Division, in the Diyala Province, Iraq in 2007 when a 500lb. High Explosive bomb was detonated under his legs. As a result, SGT Dotson lost his left leg, part of his right thigh and he sustained extensive damage to his right leg ankle and back.

armystrongGreg suffers from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and Post-Concussion Syndrome. Greg still deals with medical issues regarding the shrapnel in his face, head and body. Greg has endured 30+ surgeries with the most recent surgeries occurring in March 2015.

 

SGT Dotson was medically retired from the Army and immediately sought employment as a contractor helping U.S. troops deployed to Afghanistan. Greg worked to build base camps and establish Emergency Operations Teams for U.S. Forces in Afghanistan. Greg returned to the Fort Worth area and currently works for Fluor Corporation.

dotson-picSGT Dotson was awarded the Purple Heart, Army Achievement Medal (2nd), Army Good Conduct Medal, ARCOM, National Defense Service Medal, GWOT Expeditionary Medal, GWOT Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Star, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon (2nd), and the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device.

SGT Dotson is a devoted husband and the father to 6 daughters. Greg appreciates the opportunities he has been given in life and uses his knowledge and life experiences to help others and influence positive change in young people. Most weekends you will find Greg and his family on the basketball court or tackling some worthwhile outdoor adventure.

SGT Greg Dotson family resides in Keller, Texas. The family travels from Fort Worth to San Antonio often for medical treatment and resides in hotels.

RHSB Insurance – Giving Hunger Relief Kits

rhspRHSB’s activity is called, Giving Hunger-Relief Kits and it will be held on Friday, January 27,  9AM to 1PM through Tarrant County Food Bank.

According to  organizer, Sandy Runnels, “We are collecting money from all of our employees and owners to grocery shop for Hunger-Relief Kits. These kits will be assembled in our office and then delivered to the Food Bank for them to distribute. Each bag will have at least two items from their brochure (Protein, Starches / Grains / Fruit / Liquids).”
