City Life Church -Neighborhood Prayer and Blessing

Their activity is called, Neighborhood Prayer and Blessing, and it will be held on Saturday, January 21, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM.prayer

Members of City Life’s prayer team will walk the streets of their Downtown neighborhood, praying for God’s blessing to rest on the residents, places of worship, offices and public spaces. They will be asking God for a spirit of peace and unity to pervade our city, and that the message of the authentic love of Jesus will be made known in the hearts and lives of all who come and go through downtown.

Welcome Back Tarrant County – Support for Returning Inmates

Their ongoing outreach will be held on Tuesday, January 24 and Thursday, January 26th.

prisonThis is an opportunity to assist men and women returning from the Texas Department of Corrections into our community. We meet with the returning every Tuesday and Thursday and give resource material, by zip codes. We always need sack lunches, bus passes and immediate needs to people returning with very little, sometimes all they have is what they are carrying. Volunteers are also needed to make sandwiches, packages of hygiene products, food gift cards, etc.
prison2It’s a time to show offer help, compassion and encouragement to men and women who are returning home from prison. Let’s show them compassion as they establish a new life in our city.

This outreach is held at the Texas Department, Parole Division, 3628 McCart, 76109, EVERY Tuesday and Thursday.

RHSB Insurance – Giving Hunger Relief Kits

rhspRHSB’s activity is called, Giving Hunger-Relief Kits and it will be held on Friday, January 27,  9AM to 1PM through Tarrant County Food Bank.

According to  organizer, Sandy Runnels, “We are collecting money from all of our employees and owners to grocery shop for Hunger-Relief Kits. These kits will be assembled in our office and then delivered to the Food Bank for them to distribute. Each bag will have at least two items from their brochure (Protein, Starches / Grains / Fruit / Liquids).”
