Williams Trew adopts Delta Company 1-325 of the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army!

deltacoTheir activity is called,”Williams Trew LOVES Delta Company,” and donations may be dropped off January 23-29, during office hours. (Items will be shipped Feb. 1)

Williams Trew is ‘adopting’ the Delta Company 1-325 of the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army.
Williams Trew agents & staff will be collecting candy, cookies, snacks and handwritten notes of appreciation to send to the Company which was recently deployed.
Our intent is to show our appreciation to our service men and women and highlight the supportive nature and fine citizens of Fort Worth, Texas! (Brice Owen Anthony, AHHS class of ’15 is a member of Delta Company) williamstrew

Kim Ledbetter’s Fashion Design Class at JP Elder Middle School

jpelderTheir activity is called, “PLARN” and it will be held on Tuesday, January 24 & Thursday, January 26, 10:20 am – 4:20 pm.

Kim’s fashion design classes will be making “plarn” (plastic yarn) out of plastic shopping bags. They make the “plarn” and give it to ladies from Wedgwood Baptist Church to crochet into sleeping mats for the homeless.

City of Fort Worth PARD Operations Contract Management Division – Cobb Park Clean Up Day

Their activity is called, Photographs and Prints, and it will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2:00-5:00PM.
photographerA group of Fort Worth Photographers will be creatively giving back to the homeless community by taking professional photos for those in need, and giving them a print. This is an action designed to increase dignity, as well as give the individual the opportunity to use the photograph for professional purposes, give as a gift, or simply hold close.
It will be held near 5650 E. Lancaster, near the Presbyterian Night Shelter.

City Life Church -Neighborhood Prayer and Blessing

Their activity is called, Neighborhood Prayer and Blessing, and it will be held on Saturday, January 21, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM.prayer

Members of City Life’s prayer team will walk the streets of their Downtown neighborhood, praying for God’s blessing to rest on the residents, places of worship, offices and public spaces. They will be asking God for a spirit of peace and unity to pervade our city, and that the message of the authentic love of Jesus will be made known in the hearts and lives of all who come and go through downtown.
